We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team to support a critical migration initiative.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, focusing on data quality, catalog management, and ensuring business continuity throughout the migration process. You'll work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful data transformation and integration from stores across UK and USA regions.

Responsibilities:
Analyze and document current database structures, data models, and business processes to inform migration strategy.
Define and validate business requirements for the Snowflake implementation in Azure.
Create and maintain data mapping documentation for migration from source systems to Snowflake.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure proper data quality checks are implemented in the migration pipeline.
Implement and manage data catalog solutions using Microsoft Purview for metadata management and data lineage.
Design and execute testing plans to validate data accuracy and integrity post-migration.
Create reports and dashboards to monitor migration progress and data quality metrics.
Partner with data governance teams to ensure compliance with data policies and standards.

Requirements for this challenge:
Advanced English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking).
Strong SQL knowledge and experience with data analysis techniques.
Hands-on experience with data catalog tools.
Familiarity with Snowflake architecture and capabilities.
Understanding of Azure data services including Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake Storage.
Knowledge of dimensional data modeling principles.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Nice to have:
Previous experience with data migration projects, preferably from on-premises to cloud environments.
Experience working with international stakeholders across multiple regions.
Knowledge of Delta Lake or similar data lake technologies.
Experience with data anonymization techniques and privacy regulations (preferably GDPR).
Familiarity with data integration patterns and ETL/ELT processes.
Basic Python scripting capabilities for data analysis and validation.
Previous work with stored procedures and batch processing systems.
Experience with Azure security implementations and data governance principles.
Certification in Azure data services or Snowflake (preferred).
Knowledge of agile methodologies for project delivery.
Experience working with TLS and other data security protocols.
