part of our dynamic team, you'll have the opportunity to craft exceptional end to end digital solutions for a
diverse clientele, including some of the most well known Australian brands.
We are looking for a talented and creative UI Designer to join our growing design team in Melbourne. As a UI
Designer, you’ll play a key role in crafting visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces for a wide range of
digital products. Your work will impact how users interact with our products, and you’ll collaborate closely with
UX designers, product managers, and developers to bring engaging and seamless designs to life.
Key Accountabilities
● Design intuitive, visually engaging, and user-centred interfaces for web, mobile, and other digital
platforms.
● Translate wireframes, user flows, and product requirements into high-quality designs, from concept
to final deliverables.
● Collaborate with UX designers to ensure UI designs align with user experience principles.
● Create and maintain design systems, including style guides, colour palettes, typography, and reusable
components.
● Work closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation of UI designs.
● Incorporate feedback from stakeholders, users, and cross-functional teams to continuously improve
designs.
● Conduct usability testing and iterate on designs based on user feedback and data.
● Stay up to date on the latest UI trends, techniques, and tools to keep designs fresh and innovative.
● Ensure that all UI designs follow best practices in accessibility, responsiveness, and usability.
● Focus on UI Work: Primary goal is to get immediate, tangible results and therefore more effective for
the PH team member to focus on UI work. This allows them to contribute meaningfully through design
execution while the Australian team handles the more nuanced aspects of UX.
Knowledge and Experience
● Proven experience as a UI Designer or similar role with a strong portfolio showcasing UI design work.
● Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar software.
● Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and responsive design.
● Experience with design systems, component libraries, and maintaining consistency across multiple
products.
● Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
● Attention to detail and a passion for creating beautiful, usable interfaces.
● Knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus.
● Familiarity with usability testing and user research practices.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
● Gradual UX Involvement: where possible, we will have the opportunity for the PH team member to
gradually engage in UX work. This could involve shadowing the Australian team during user interviews
or participating in discussions about user needs and design strategies.
