We are seeking an experienced professional to support the implementation of data governance practices within our Azure and Databricks environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data product development and “Data as a Product” approaches, and will be responsible for reimagining and implementing governance processes that ensure the effective development of our data products.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and develop a minimum governance plan.
Define and implement data governance processes aligned with the existing architecture.
Promote data governance best practices across the organization.
Facilitate communication between different business areas to ensure governance practices address all requirements.
Assist in creating and maintaining documentation related to data governance.
Minimum Requirements:
Proven experience in data governance, preferably within Azure and Databricks environments.
Strong knowledge of data product development practices and “Data as a Product.”
Experience working on projects that required defining data governance processes.
Proactive and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
Ability to engage with diverse business areas and stakeholders.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to Have:
Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
Relevant certifications in data governance and data engineering.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
