A UI Designer (User Interface Designer) focuses more on the visual and interactive layer of digital products. While the UX Designer ensures that the product solves user needs and flows logically, the UI Designer turns those concepts into aesthetically pleasing, functional, and consistent interfaces.
Responsibilities:
- Visual Design: Create clean, attractive, and user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile.
- Translate UX into UI: Take wireframes and prototypes from UX designers and bring them to life with color, typography, iconography, and layouts.
- Design Systems: Maintain style guides and design standards to ensure consistency across all digital products.
- Interactive Prototyping: Build clickable prototypes to communicate design ideas to stakeholders.
- Iteration with Feedback: Participate in usability tests, gather user/stakeholder feedback, and refine designs.
- Team Support: Assist senior designers and collaborate with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in UI design (mid-level role).
- A strong portfolio showcasing visually appealing interfaces.
- Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.).
- Strong visual design skills (typography, spacing, color, iconography).
- Understanding of basic UX principles.
- Ideally, familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS) and CMS to communicate effectively with developers.
