System Architect / Tech Lead - Data (Lisbon)
General Description
We are looking for a System Architect to be part of our team in Europe. In this position, you will lead technically and design software solutions, working closely with teams in the EU, Brazil and other countries in Latin America. You need advanced and/or fluent proficiency in English to communicate with these different teams and clients during the workday.
We are looking for someone who has:
Solid experience in software architecture design and technical leadership;
Solid experience developing responsive web-based applications.
Solid experience with Cloud (Azure).Comfort learning new frameworks.
Solid experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP).
Experience in identifying, gathering and prioritizing non-functional requirements, technical pain points, environment and client constraints.
Experience with Microsoft Data Platform on Azure (SQL Server, Integration Services, Power BI, Synapse), Databricks or AWS Data Services — especially within the realms of data integration, analysis and visualization.
Experience in data pipeline orchestration tools such as Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue or Apache Airflow.
Experience with CI/CD Pipelines.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
Willingness to work with different technologies and learn every day;
Ability to share your knowledge with more junior team members.
The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead technically the team and enable the development team to build, enhance, and maintain applications, as well as to work with new technologies.
Participate in design and architecture discussions.
Collaborate with user experience, content strategy, product delivery, and non-technical program management teams.
Ensure that solutions are following security and performance best practices.
Create & maintain design and other documentation required by the clients.
Communicate with customer’s team members and align technical solutions.
Understand requirements and make viable technical solutions choosing appropriate frameworks.
Guarantee a stable and productive development environment.
We expect candidates to have knowledge in some, but not necessarily all fields below:
Knowledge of non-functional requirements (performance, security, privacy, GDPR and etc).
Knowledge of Design Patterns, Clean Architecture and Clean coding.
Knowledge of unit, integration and E2E testing.
