OBJECTIVE
Lead the creation of architecture and technical solutions, ensuring the scalability, security, and efficiency of systems. Ensure that solutions are robust and innovative, supporting the growth and evolution of clients' businesses. Become a technical reference for the client, acting as a Trusted Advisor and promoting contract expansion based on effective deliveries and collaborations.
Main Responsibilities/Activities:
Strategic Alignment: Engage with executive leadership to understand strategic goals and align architectural initiatives with business objectives.
Budget Oversight: Manage budget considerations for architecture-related projects to ensure investments align with defined strategies.
Change Management: Lead efforts to facilitate the smooth adoption of new technologies and processes within the organisation.
Technical Solution Design: Develop innovative and high-quality technical solutions for complex problems.
Cloud Migration Strategy: Design and implement cloud migration strategies, including rehosting, re-platforming, and refactoring applications for optimal cloud environments.
Governance and Compliance: Define and implement data governance and systems architecture strategies to ensure compliance with information security standards and regulations.
Emerging Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and select new technologies that can add value to projects and the organisation.
Cloud Provider Expertise: Demonstrate proven experience with major cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and familiarity with their service offerings and architectural frameworks.
Risk Management: Manage risks associated with global architecture and serve as an escalation point for key stakeholders.
Facilitating Communication: Foster communication and alignment among technical and business stakeholders, ensuring technological solutions meet business objectives.
Monitoring and Metrics: Define key metrics for project tracking and propose continuous improvements.
Team Leadership: Lead architect and software engineering teams, promoting Agile Software Engineering best practices. Inspire technical career development.
Talent Development: Train and mentor architects, mapping succession plans and recognising talent.
Technical Consulting: Serve as a technical consultant for clients and teams, translating technology into business impact and advocating for technology strategies.
Standardisation of Practices: Ensure uniformity and consistency of architecture and software engineering standards across teams, promoting best practices in line with the company's strategic guidelines.
Contract Growth: Pursue expansion of existing contracts and identify growth opportunities for the technical team with clients.
Pre-Sales Engagement: Participate in the pre-sales process, leading technical initiatives and preparing technical proposals.
Team Structuring: Design, structure, and assemble teams based on the complexity of challenges, hiring and managing technical careers as needed.
Cultural Leadership: Embody and promote the company's values, motivating employees in alignment with the company's culture, including ESG, diversity, and inclusion practices.
Innovation and Excellence: Cultivate a culture of innovation, operational excellence, and compliance with company policies and regulations, advocating for AI and GenAI-driven operations.
Growth Mindset: Encourage challenge to the status quo and promote continuous improvement.
