Responsibilities:
- Migration Expertise: Participate in cloud operations and building solutions to migrate from on-premises to Azure, understanding the intricacies of both environments, identifying potential challenges, and supporting the design of a robust migration strategy.
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the configuration, deployment, and management of the environments, ensuring availability, and performance meet or exceed the current on-premises setup.
- Automation: Implement and improve infrastructure as code (IAC), and other automation processes to streamline the migration and ongoing management of the environments.
- Security and Compliance: Maintain a strong focus on security best practices, ensuring that the environment is properly configured and that all necessary compliance standards are met.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Set up monitoring tools, alerts, and proactive troubleshooting mechanisms to quickly identify and address any issues.
- Documentation: Document the migration process, configuration, and best practices for the environments, providing valuable resources for the team and future reference.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a strong track record of successfully migrating complex infrastructure projects.
- Expertise with Azure cloud environments as well as networking.
- Advanced English: Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills are essential, as this role requires collaboration with global teams and documentation of the migration process.
- Automation Tools: Proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Github Actions), infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Puppet), and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Security: Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments, including network configuration, access controls, and encryption.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical challenges.
