At CI&T, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Java Developer to join our team in Colombia. You will contribute to an innovative project in a collaborative, innovating, transforming, and multicultural environment.
Position Overview:
As a Senior Java Developer in our Colombian team, you will spearhead the creation of cutting-edge server-side applications using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud technologies. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions and adhering to CI&T's mission of Collaboration, Innovation & Transformation. You will also mentor junior team members, ensuring robust learning and development.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable server-side applications using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful web services.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver technical solutions aligned with client needs.
- Enhance application performance through optimization and scalability improvements.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Ensure the use of Agile methodologies and Test-Driven Development principles in software projects.
- Implement databases integrations using Spring JDBC template, JPA, and Hibernate.
Must-have skills
- Proficiency in Core Java 1.8 or above, and Java Spring Boot.
- Demonstrable experience in RESTful/JSON web services, JUnit, Mockito, and continuous integration tools like Jenkins.
- Strong grasp of design principles like SOLID and DRY.
- Experience with messaging frameworks and database systems.
- Proficient in Git, Unix/Linux environments, and IntelliJ IDE.
Nice-to-have skills
- Experience with cloud deployments, preferably Azure.
- Knowledge of profiling tools and international software development, including multi-lingual and multi-currency systems.
