Agricultural Analyst/Senior Analyst

CiBO is seeking highly motivated individuals with the ability to excel as a part of our Modeling Team.  The candidate will be responsible for sourcing and managing agricultural data sets to support our crop modeling activities, and for working with our Software Engineers to develop agricultural software products.  

Responsibilities

    • Work with our crop modelers to identify agricultural data needs
    • Work with grower collaborators to coordinate  the collection of data useful to CiBO
    • Work with diverse users in the agricultural sector (growers, lenders, investors, etc) to develop new product ideas
    • Work with Software Engineers to better understand users’ needs and requirements

Experience and Capabilities

    • Practical knowledge of agronomic and cropping systems
    • Demonstrated quantitative skills:  ability to manage and derive knowledge from diverse data sources
    • Creativity and innovation skills for developing communication materials to enhance understanding of highly technical information
    • Ability to network and build relationships both internally and externally to CiBO
    • Ability to collaborate across multi-functional groups and geographies
    • We are seeking varied amounts of experience in multiple positions

Bonus Qualifications

    • Degree in Agricultural Business, Agricultural Economics, or similar
    • First-hand agricultural and/or agribusiness experience
    • Experience with data management and databases
    • Experience with planning and/or executing field trials
    • Experience with software development
