CIC Tokyo is our first site located in Asia. Opened in October 2020 in one of the business districts of Minato-ku, CIC Tokyo is a one-of-a-kind innovation-oriented center in Japan with a total area of about 6,000 square meters on the 15th and 16th floors of the Toranomon Hills Business Tower. We provide a vast workspace with the capacity to house more than 250 companies.
CIC Tokyo is centered on companies that aim to grow, and communities and services that are looking to accelerate their business growth and global expansion. Because of its influence in startup and innovation scenery, CIC Tokyo has frequent visits of VIPs such as Prime Minister Kishida, Governor Koike, and other business leaders in Japan. It is now recognized as a prestigious center of new businesses and startups by business leaders throughout the country.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WORK
This position is based at CIC Tokyo, with responsibilities extending to our other Japan locations, including Fukuoka and future sites. As a Marketing & PR Coordinator, you will work closely with the Marketing Director to ensure brand consistency, develop materials, and manage inquiries. You will also support operations by coordinating logistics, communicating with stakeholders, and ensuring the smooth execution of marketing activities across locations—an excellent opportunity for a proactive, detail-oriented professional in a fast-paced environment.
Potential responsibilities will include:
• Support daily marketing and communications tasks to ensure smooth operations, while also sharing new ideas to improve campaigns and outreach.
• Identify and create content valuable to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with messaging strategy and Marketing Director approval.
• Coordinate press release requests with internal and external teams, aligning timelines and messaging with key stakeholders.
• Highlight CIC media coverage through engaging internal and external communications, boosting visibility via internal channels and social media.
• Develop and update marketing and PR materials across digital, print, and event formats, ensuring brand alignment and audience relevance.
• Manage marketing logistics, including event materials, branded assets, and vendor coordination to maintain a strong brand presence.
• Support marketing tools like HubSpot and be open to learning platforms like Canva or CRM systems to enhance campaign execution and communication.

YOU HAVE
• At least 3 years of experience in marketing and/or communications, who has been involved in creating materials, using digital tools, managing and operating social media accounts, and supporting events.
• Experience with paid social media campaigns, CRM tools such as Hubspot, Adobe Creative Suite or Canva is a plus.
• Extremely organized, detail-oriented, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
• Fluency in Japanese and strong communication skills in English.
• Ability to legally work in Japan. CIC is unable to sponsor visas for this role at this time.
• Able to travel domestically and internationally a few times a year for events and related activities.
