DESCRIPTION 

We are currently looking for a Medical Records Specialist to join the Patient Care team at Circle Medical Technologies. As we continue to grow, we are constantly searching for exceptional talent to be a part of our team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

    • Collaborate and share responsibility with medical records team to accomplish tasks and process requests.
    • Process physical medical records received via mail, ensuring accurate and efficient data entry into our internal systems according to our established protocol.
    • Process incoming communications to the practice, including faxes and emails, regarding patient medical records and requests, following appropriate workflows and processes. 
    • Update patient charts in a timely manner, ensuring all relevant medical history and information are accurately recorded for healthcare providers’ reference.
    • Ensure all medical records tasks are completed as required, adhering to strict timelines for maintaining up-to-date patient information.
    • Assist with administrative work related to medical records like subpoena processing, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of legal requirements and ethical considerations in handling sensitive patient information.
    • Maintain a consistent workflow to ensure efficient operation, contributing to the overall productivity of our medical records department and enhancing our patient care standards.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

    • Proficient in the use of medical record software and systems.
    • Superior customer service and people skills, with clear empathy and critical thinking skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proven interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues in the department.
    • Basic understanding of medical terminology.
    • Proficiency in data entry and management.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • College degree or equivalent related experience
    • At least 2+ years of relevant experience is required

WHAT WILL GIVE YOU AN EDGE

    • Prior experience in a healthcare setting or medical records department is a plus
    • Certification in record management (CEHRS, etc.) or related fields is a plus
    • Medical assistant, medical scribe, or related experience involving documentation is a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Sitting at a desk and working on a computer; occasional standing and navigating through clinic office space
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
    • Must be able to independently navigate to nearby locations (e.g. mailroom, shipping office, etc.) using accessible indoor and/or outdoor paths
COMPENSATION

In alignment with our values, Circle Medical has transparent salaries based on merit-based output levels, and our total rewards include equity options.

This is a full-time hourly, non-exempt, position with an hourly rate range of $23 to $27 plus generous vacation, full health benefits, and 401K with company matching.
