DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of People and Culture to join the Circle Medical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Human Resources Management within the healthcare industry and a proven track record of success in developing and implementing Human Resource strategies to support Circle Medical's goals and objectives.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop and implement People and Culture strategies and initiatives to support Circle’s growth and success in the US and Canada.
- Work with the Senior Leadership team and employees to provide HR guidance and direction to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Analyze trends and metrics and share insights of opportunities with our senior leadership team.
- Oversee all aspects of People and Culture Operations including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, learning and development and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Manage and scale the company’s compensation model and benefits programs, including salary negotiations, benefits administration and performance management.
- Manage employee relations including handling employee grievances, disputes and disciplinary actions.
- Develop and implement employee training and development programs to support employee growth and development.
- Lead and mentor the People and Culture team to ensure high performance and employee engagement.
- Implement and manage HR systems, processes and policies to support efficient and effective operations.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of People and Culture initiatives within other departments and across all business units.
- Monitor and analyze People and Culture KPIs to identify trends, issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Scale policy development, from L&D, workforce planning, and relocations and immigration
- Remain current on HR trends and best practices in the healthcare and technology sector to ensure Circle Medical remains competitive and compliant across all areas.
- Stay current on diversity and inclusion trends and best practices to ensure Circle remains at the forefront of diversity and inclusion efforts.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
- 7-10 years of HR experience in a Leadership role at a venture-backed company
- View people function as an integral component of healthcare innovation and the company fabric.
- Excellent knowledge of US and Canadian labor laws/legislation and a full understanding of HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Be genuinely curious and have a desire to continuously learn and help others.
WHAT WILL GIVE YOU AN EDGE
- Experience in the healthcare, health tech or health services verticals.
- Experience with workforces in multiple jurisdictions or countries.
- Experience with a large non-exempt hourly workforce.
- Experience using Lattice, Slack, Rippling, Notion, Lever, and Google Suite.
COMPENSATION
In alignment with our values, Circle Medical has transparent salaries based on merit-based output levels, and our total rewards include equity options.
This is a full-time, salaried exempt position with an annual salary range of $170,000 to $200,000 (based on location) plus generous vacation, full health benefits, and 401K with company matching (US only).
