DESCRIPTION
We are currently looking for an Associate Medical Director to join the Telemedicine Success team at Circle Medical Technologies. As we continue to grow, we are constantly searching for exceptional talent to be a part of our team. This position is a hybrid role with 2 days in-person which may be based out of our offices in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Work closely with the General Manager of Telemedicine Business, Telemedicine Success Team, and Clinical Leadership to maintain clinical quality amongst the telemedicine team of providers
- Maintain and manage a patient panel, including 12 hours per week of patient care
- Assist with onboarding new providers (both 1099 and W2) in their first 30 days, including chart review
- Identify provider gaps in knowledge and assist in the development & improvement of onboarding materials
- Work with the Telemedicine Success Team to monitor key clinical quality metrics and clinical escalations; meet with underperforming providers to address strategies for improvement
- Quickly recognize and report operational barriers or personal hesitations that would limit a provider’s engagement and terminate contracts as needed (with final approval from General Manager, Telemedicine business)
- Participate in clinical review committee(s) to ensure provider documentation and delivery of care is consistent with Circle Medical’s quality standards
- Collaborate with supporting teams to address clinical grievances and incident reports pertaining to patient care; review incidents and follow up with providers as needed; report progress and/or concerns back to the Executive Clinical Leadership team with actionable insights and plans
- Assist the clinical leadership team with the development, implementation and auditing of clinical workflows to ensure consistency of quality, evidence-based medical care
- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding candidates across all clinic teams
- Communicate appropriately and tactfully with staff, consultants, patients, and the community.
- Participate in staff, planning, in-service, and other meetings as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Provide and manage a panel of patients, both in-person and via telemedicine to equal 12 hours of direct patient care per week
- Address patients’ clinical concerns via chat, or if indicated, via video visit (symptom reporting, medication refills, lab clarification).
- Address critical lab/imaging results with patients via chat or video visits.
- Assist with clinical operational tasks such as referrals, lab/imaging orders, provider letters, and medical forms.

Primary Care Provider Duties:

- Proficient with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite or related software
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Board Certified NP or PA
- Active DEA certification in all licensed states
- Minimum of 5 years of primary care experience
- At least 2-3 years of management/supervisory or coaching experience
- Active license in CA or NY; willingness to obtain licenses and DEAs for additional states as needed
- Willingness to learn how to diagnose and treat a variety of adult/primary care conditions
- Telemedicine/remote clinical experience preferred

COMPENSATION
In alignment with our values, Circle Medical has transparent salaries based on output levels, and options to trade cash for stock.
This is a full-time, salaried position with an annual salary range of $178,000 to $195,000 plus, generous vacation, and full medical/dental benefits, and 401K with company matching.
