Procurement Manager
Supply Chain and Procurement
Permanent position
 

Reporting to the Senior Director - Supply Chain, the Procurement Manager will be responsible for all the Procurement requirements for Resident Shows Division (RSD). He or she will provide leadership to the team of buyers and develop category and negotiation strategies to address business needs.
 

The Procurement Manager will:

·       Manage, coach and give a clear vision to a group of 4 buyers, while providing a good working environment; 
·       Manage and coordinate large, high-value and strategic sourcing projects in accordance with the Procurement policies; 
·       Communicate the Procurement policy governance standards, procedures and tools for use in selecting, negotiating and contracting with external suppliers and internal Cirque management; 
·       Lead and/or participate in cross-functional teams to develop and implement sourcing strategies and cost improvements; 
·       Manage the end-to-end sourcing process for large Procurement activities; 
·       Negotiate contracts having a long-term impact on Cirque operations while minimizing commercial and operational risks; 
·       Bring expertise to the sourcing process and appraise major business decisions; 
·       Coordinate contract review and signing with various internal groups such as legal and taxation; 
·       Assess suppliers’ business practices, long-term stability, technical capabilities and ability to meet Cirque standards; 
·       Conduct Business reviews with our bigger suppliers;  
·       Support Procurement senior director with all necessary reports and action plan for the Resident show division;  
·       Provide on-site support to all Cirque Resident shows in Vegas and elsewhere in the US; 
·       Availability to travel to visit Cirque International headquarter at least once per year;  
·       A knowledge of Ariba SAP platform, an asset;  
·       Complete other job-related duties as assigned. 


 What does it take for this role? The following hard skills are the basics of what’s needed to be successful in this position:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field; 
·       At least seven to ten years of previoussourcing/negotiation experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience; 
·       Excellent negotiation skills; 
·       Previous experience supervising a team of buyers; 
·       Working knowledge of Word, Excel, SAP MM, Ariba and other software; 
·       Team spirit; 
·       Sense of organisation and priorities; 
·       Strong capabilities in negotiation and analytical skills; 
·       Strong communication skills and “service a la clientele”;  
·       Ability to solve problems and manage conflicts; 
·       Agility to manage several files at the same time; 
·       Previous experience in the Entertainment industry is an asset; 
·       Fluent in English, both written and spoken; French is an asset; 
·       Verification of the right to work in the United States for Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, as demonstrated by completion of the Form I-9 upon hire and the submission of acceptable documentation (as noted on the Form I-9) verifying one’s identity and work authorization.
