Swing Technician – PAW Patrol Live! Tour
Touring Position - this position will require 100% travel


Summary:
The Swing Technician works backstage assisting with scene changes, show presets, and quick changes when needed, learning backstage track as a replacement for other technicians, as determined by supervisors in conjunction with the guidelines of best practices during performances. Assists in the loading and unloading, directing local crews, and assembling and disassembling of all show equipment. Assists other departments in an effort to preserve the high integrity and professionalism of the company and its equipment.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
-          Assists in assembling and disassembling stage set and all equipment and required maintenance.
-          Directs local crews in loading and unloading.
-          Assists in backstage track during live shows.
-          Follows productions cues in a manner that meets productions standards.
-          Complies with all safety and security procedures related to the show and VStar Entertainment safety policies.
-          Performs additional duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
 
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
-          At least one-year experience as a stage technician in a backstage setting for live shows, or one-year experience in related technical theater setting. Technical knowledge of theatrical lighting &/or audio systems and carpentry preferred.
-          Understands theatrical terms and directions.
-          Knowledge and ability to use hand tools.
-          Ability to work as a member of a team; accept and follow oral, written, &/or diagram instructions.
-          Where permitted by applicable law, must be willing to be compliant with venue, city, state and country COVID-19 vaccine mandates to be considered for employment;
-          This contract requires you to have an IATSE membership;
-          Verification of the right to work in the United States for VStar Entertainment Group, as demonstrated by completion of the Form I-9 upon hire and the submission of acceptable documentation (as noted on the Form I-9) verifying one’s identity and work authorization;
-          Able to pass a background check, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law;
-          Able to travel 100% of the time including by plane, train, bus and other modes of transportation; Ability to travel to Canada;
-          Work hours are extensive and irregular including early morning, evening, weekend, and holidays.
