Vice President, Sales - Resident Shows and Affiliate Shows Divisions
Permanent Position
 
We are looking for our next Vice President of Sales to join Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group (CDSEG) Resident Shows and Affiliate Shows Divisions. The main objective of this role is to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and foster relationships with key distribution partners, corporate groups, tradeshow organizers and broader tourism industry.   
 
The Vice President of Sales will lead a high performing sales team, develop, and execute strategic initiatives, and collaborate cross-functionally to achieve business objectives. This role will report directly to the President, Resident Shows and Affiliates Shows Divisions and will bring high energy, passion, and excellence to lead and help build a world-class team of sellers. The Vice President of Sales will be a player-coach, invested in building and growing their team while also meeting and exceeding revenue targets. 
 
The ideal candidate will have: 
- Proven leadership experience in managing and developing high performance sales teams and executing innovative sales strategies and plans;
- In-depth knowledge of ticketing distribution partnerships and groups sales. Knowledge of the events industry a plus. 
- Proven ability to collaborate, plan and executive at both strategic and operational levels cross functionally while leading a team;
- Experienced relationship builder with a proven track record of negotiating complex, multi—product, multi-year deals that exceed aggressive revenue targets; 
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, negotiation, project management and time management skills required;
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment; 
- Strong knowledge of the Vegas marketplace preferred; 
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team, and strong analytical skills. 

The Vice President of Sales will have the opportunity to:  
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and margin goals across Cirque du Soleil’s resident shows in Las Vegas, Orlando, and future Hawaii show as well as across Blue Man Group & VStar Entertainment properties;
- Lead, mentor and inspire a team of sales professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, innovation, and teamwork;
- Utilize data and analytics to assess sales performance, identify opportunities, and optimize strategies for success;
- Establish and communicate clear sales revenue goals. Provide regular reports, sales forecasts and updates to Finance and Senior Leadership;
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with key distribution ticketing partners, corporate clients to host group and custom events packages and tradeshow organizers;
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders to strengthen the company’s position in the market;
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive activities, and emerging technologies to capitalize on market opportunities;
- Develop a deep understanding of the company’s ticketing and events solutions ensuring the sales team is equipped with the knowledge to effectively communicate value proposition to clients;
- Collaborate with product, brand, sponsorship, and marketing teams to enhance existing offers and introduce new solutions based on market needs;
- Identify, negotiate, and establish strategic partnerships that enhance the company’s position in the market to contribute to revenue growth;
- Build and maintain high level relationships with the Las Vegas, Orlando, Chicago, New York, and Boston tourism industry, focusing on key markets, tour operators, travel agencies, Online Travel Agents (OTA’s), meeting and incentive planners, conference organizers, concierge groups, attractions, etc.  Seek out and develop opportunities to partner and broaden the appeal and product offerings;
- Meet and exceed team annual sales quota and quarterly targets, while managing an extensive sales pipeline Inspire, support, train, and motivate a sales team, enabling them to meet/exceed goals;
- Develop and implement verticalized sales strategies designed to maximize revenue streams for the portfolio of CDSEG products. 
 
What does it take for this role?  
- Minimum 15+ years direct sales experience with a strong background in live entertainment;
- Minimum 10+ years in a leadership role directly managing and coaching teams;
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field;
- Verification of the right to work in the United States for Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, as demonstrated by completion of the Form I-9 upon hire and the submission of acceptable documentation (as noted on the Form I-9) verifying one’s identity and work authorization.
