The Position
We are seeking dedicated Healthcare Security Officers to join our team in Rifle, CO. As a frontline presence in a healthcare setting, your role is critical to the safety and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a secure environment while delivering top-tier customer service and upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
This is a non-exempt position (eligible for overtime under applicable state laws).
Pay starts at $19.00/hour and increases to $20.00/hour after a successful 90-day probationary period.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safety, protection, and a visible security presence throughout the facility
- Engage with staff and guests professionally, maintaining a positive and calm demeanor
- Monitor, patrol, and report all unusual activity and potential hazards
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality at all times
- Complete accurate daily activity logs, incident reports, and hazard assessments
- Respond promptly to emergency situations with focus and clarity
- Learn and enforce all site-specific rules and policies
- Operate security equipment (radios, computers, flashlights) and maintain issued gear
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance and arrive on time for all scheduled shifts
- Work independently for extended periods while staying focused and alert
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years of age
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (I-9 eligibility documentation required)
- Clean background check and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Reliable transportation and proximity to Rifle, CO
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English (Spanish is a plus!)
- Positive attitude, punctuality, and customer-service mindset
- Ability to walk/stand for extended periods and work in various weather conditions
- Must own a smartphone for scheduling and clocking in/out
- Basic computer literacy
- Previous security, law enforcement, or medical response experience preferred but not required
- CPR, First Aid, or Emergency Response training is a plus
$19 - $20 an hour
