Citrine Informatics is looking for an experienced software engineering manager to help us scale our team. You will collaborate with amazing engineers and scientists on user-facing product features that help our customers achieve incredible research breakthroughs.

Responsibilities

    • Own a system for sharing and managing materials data across an enterprise’s researchers, with the goal of fostering collaboration between scientists, reducing experimental waste, and aiding in the management of R&D projects.
    • Deliver complex analysis & visualizations that allow our users to gain deeper insights into their data.
    • Lead a team of software engineers building Citrine’s enterprise materials science data platform.
    • Direct the career development and technical growth of the team through mentorship and coaching in software engineering best practices, design, and system architecture.
    • Optimize productivity by guiding the team through our agile process, running effective meetings, and carefully planning resources.
    • Recruit effective engineers who are passionate about Citrine’s vision.
    • Legally eligible to work in the United States or Canada.

Skills and Experience

    • Experience developing and architecting software that meets the scalability, performance, and reliability needs of your customers as an individual contributor.
    • Experience managing software teams including building out team processes and managing project delivery.
    • A track record for managing the growth of your employees.

Preferred Skills and Experience

    • Experience managing remotely.
    • Experience managing engineers from a diverse set of disciplines & backgrounds.
    • Previous work managing a platform with both internal clients and external integrations.
    • Understanding of ETL pipelines.

Compensation and Pay Transparency 

At Citrine, we want your path to career growth to be transparent, straightforward, fair, and easily accessible -- starting with your application and interview process. The annual salary range listed below reflects the level we are considering for this position (please note that there may be unique situations where you may fall outside of this range). Where you fall within the range will depend on how your experience and skills align to our internal leveling system as we learn more about you throughout the interview process. 

$160,000 USD - $200,000 USD

*Range(s) listed are for full-time employees based in the United States only.
