As an IT Support Specialist at Civis Analytics, you'll work directly with employees across all teams to solve a variety of technical issues. Responsibilities

    • Manage the internal IT support ticket queue, serving as the first point of contact for employees' IT needs
    • Administer diverse software-as-a-service applications
    • Image and manage employee Macs using the JAMF Casper SuiteMaintain LAN/WAN, printers, AV, and VOIP equipment in both our Chicago and Washington, D.C. offices
    • Build out and improve on our company’s internal knowledge base
    • Run technical on-boarding sessions for new employees
    • Play a key role in enforcing our data security policies
    • Assist IT security with HIPAA and SOC2 security compliance efforts
    • Track physical and virtual assets using best practices

Required Qualifications

    • 2+ years of IT support experience with an emphasis on Mac OS X support
    • Prior OS X administration/JAMF Casper Suite experience
    • Familiarity with the Unix command line
    • A basic understanding of IT Security best practices LAN/WAN troubleshooting experience
    • Experience with a support ticketing system (Zendesk, ServiceNow, Footprints, etc.)
    • On-site and remote support experience
    • Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn
    • Understanding of desktop automation concepts
    • Passion for improving your coworkers’ IT experience at Civis Analytics

Preferred Qualifications

    • Proficiency with a mainstream scripting language (bash, python, perl, etc.)
    • Degree in IT or STEM area of study
    • JAMF Casper Certified Casper Technician (CCT)
    • Prior experience with Google Apps
    • Familiarity with version control concepts (e.g. git)
    • In-depth understanding of encryption and IT security systems
    • Vendor management and software license management experience
    • Strong desire to expand Casper Suite experience and obtain certifications
    • Experience with AppleScript
