Celo aims to remove the barriers for large-scale adoption of cryptocurrencies as means-of-payment. Using a novel address-based encryption algorithm, the Celo protocol makes sending money as easy as sending a text. Additionally, Celo uses stable-value tokens pegged to fiat currencies, like the US Dollar, to minimize volatility. Celo is an open protocol enabling many to participate in the system, even with a budget Android smartphone. The first application launching on the Celo platform, Valora, is a social payments and money transfer app, aimed at developing markets.

As the Product Marketing Manager, you will lead all aspects of product/technical marketing for cLabs products to drive growth and product adoption. Some days this will be assisting products with market research, other days it will be crafting branding and marketing strategy associated with a particular product, and other days will be brainstorming with the broader product team, alongside engineers, to ideate long term strategy across products.

You Will:

    • Develop and execute the global product marketing strategy for products within cLabs.
    • Work closely with the product, engineering, operations, and broader marketing team to develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives. 
    • Work closely with communications, editorial and content marketing to produce compelling content to enable product success. 
    • Team with the product, operations, and leadership teams to craft a strategy related to market expansion as it pertains to product success and marketing efforts. 
    • Define personas and/or audiences, value propositions, and key messages for cLabs products.
    • Conduct landscape assessments and research, as needed, to develop well-informed marketing strategies.
    • Define and measure product marketing success metrics to gauge, track, and engage with product specific marketing tactics. 

You Have:

    • 5+ years of experience in Product Marketing
    • 2+ years of experience building and managing a team
    • Previous experience establishing the Product Marketing function within a startup environment
    • International product marketing experience 
    • Understanding of crypto/blockchain technologies and competitive landscape
    • Ability to think analytically, creatively, and strategically, while also rolling up your sleeves to bring that strategy to life
    • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, and interpersonal
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with multiple stakeholders within a rapidly changing industry
