About the Role
We’re a collaborative team of product managers, designers, backend, frontend, and quality automation engineers that genuinely enjoys working together. We are looking for a new team member who has passion for building great products with simplicity, usability, scalability, and reliability in mind.
This is a hybrid position, which will require the ability to be onsite in our Kraków, Poland office as needed. Candidates must be based in Poland.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust and scalable backend services using clean Kotlin powered by Ktor framework
- Contribute to the front-end architecture and develop React components ensuring consistency of User Experience
- Work collaboratively with engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver a consistent, delightful and seamless user experience
- Actively contribute to iteratively building our system with high quality code and focus on end user’s needs.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well documented code with priority on shipping working solutions not perfectionism
- Apply and evolve engineering best practices for consistent code patterns, style, and quality
- Provide input into the technical roadmap and direction of our tech stack evolution.
Qualifications
- Strong technical background, including 3+ years of experience working on JVM-based backend systems (Kotlin preferred) and large-scale React-based web applications with TypeScript
- Strong understanding of building robust and secure REST and/or gRPC-based service integrations
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- Experience with writing tests using mocks and data fixtures for both backend and frontend code
- Able to express service and web application interactions with well-designed and versioned interfaces, models, and abstractions ensuring contracts between modules
- Familiarity with latest frontend patterns and best practices (React hooks, component composition, and state management)
- Some experience with observability in distributed applications (Splunk, Datadog, Sentry, Hotjar, Pendo, FullStory, or similar)
- Experience with Storybook is a plus
- Strong product mindset with ability to work in ambiguous environment
- Experience with working in a true continuous delivery environment is desirable
