The Hardware Repair Lead is an essential part of CleanSpark’s Bitcoin Mining Operation. This position is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and optimization of our cryptocurrency mining equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in hardware repair, project management, and team leadership.
Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of technicians in performing repairs, upgrades, and routine maintenance
- Lead product testing and validation of hardware components (i.e. hash boards, power suppliers, fans etc.)
- Lead inventory management initiatives including procurement and backlog.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, metrics, and resource allocation.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment performance.
- Ensure all work is conducted safely and efficiently according to guidelines and regulations
- Collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to mining operations.
- Monitor metrics/KPIs for team’s location
- Assist team with ancillary tasks as needed to meet departmental objectives.
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 3+ years technician experience in an industrial or commercial environment.
- Understanding of electronic components, their functions, and their interactions within circuits.
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of inventory tracking
- Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Basic computer skills for documenting work and communicating.
- Ability to handle small and delicate components without causing damage.
- Familiarity with Antminer Series 17 & 19 equipment is a plus.
- Bitman repair certification is a plus
- Background in trouble shooting electrical functionality is a plus.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed to other shop locations
- Able to lift 50-75 lb
This position may involve duties that require operation of a company vehicle or travel between job sites. As such, candidates must be insurable under CleanSpark's vehicle insurance policy.
