The Transformer Maintenance Coordinator will play a critical role in managing and coordinating the maintenance and upkeep of transformers used in CleanSpark’s mining operations. This role is essential for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our power infrastructure, supporting continuous and optimized mining activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical systems, preventative maintenance practices, and vendor management.

Key Responsibilities

    • Maintenance Planning & Coordination: Schedule, coordinate, and monitor routine maintenance and repair activities for transformers across all mining facilities to ensure optimal performance.
    • Inspections & Quality Assurance: Oversee regular transformer inspections, identifying potential issues before they lead to operational downtime. Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety, quality, and industry standards.
    • Vendor Management: Liaise with external vendors, contractors, and service providers to source parts, obtain quotes, and schedule services. Manage vendor relationships to ensure high-quality and timely maintenance support.
    • Inventory Management: Track and maintain an inventory of critical transformer components, spare parts, and tools to ensure rapid response to maintenance needs.
    • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including schedules, reports, and any corrective actions taken. Prepare and submit regular maintenance reports to management.
    • Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all transformer maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with CleanSpark’s safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
    • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve transformer maintenance practices, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

    • Education: Associate degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field. Relevant certifications in transformer maintenance are a plus.
    • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical systems maintenance, specifically in the management of transformers or similar high-voltage equipment. Experience in the transformer, energy, or data center industry is preferred.
    • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of transformer operation, maintenance protocols, and electrical safety standards.
    • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
    • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to work effectively with internal teams, vendors, and external partners.
    • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to prevent downtime.
    • Physical Requirements: Ability to work in environments with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
    • Travel: travel to CleanSpark sites will be required
