About the Opportunity

    • Own the design elements of a project from kick-off to completion
    • Develop and execute Innovative design concepts that are impactful and aligned with project framework, client program and budget needs.
    • Participate in client presentations and actively build relationships with clients through the project process
    • Supervise the preparation of presentation materials for client review
    • Mentor and Train junior Designers to develop and maintain Permit Drawings, Tender Drawings and Construction Drawings for ongoing projects, including plans, elevations, sections and schedules.
    • Coordinate with internal teams, clients, consultants, and others key to the project Interface with construction team during tender and construction
    • Facilitate training and and onboarding of new designers and ongoing development of current junior designers through supportive mentorship.
    • Keep current with innovative and forward-thinking design including research on products and materials

About You

    • 7+ years of experience in Interior Design. NCIDQ Certification is a strong asset. However the ability to be registered is also be considered.
    • A Bachelor’s of Interior Design or a related field from an accredited institution Proficiency in AutoCAD, Illustrator, or similar design software
    • Knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures
    • Able to engage in creative and critical thought to interpret sketches, drawings, program and other similar material
    • Understanding of client's expectations of deliverables at different phases of projects including construction documents.
    • Knowledge of office and workplace design (ideally some work experience)
    • A strong track record in delivering exceptional client service by maximizing results and driving high performance from people, while also fostering collaboration across businesses and borders
    • Strong leadership, organizational and relationship-management skills
    • Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written) with the ability to collaborate with team members in a multi-disciplined environment
