Program – Climate Solutions Platform /
About us The India Climate Collaborative (ICC), registered as ‘Council of Philanthropies for Climate Action’ (CPCA), is a collective working to identify critical sectors that need investment, drive funding towards climate solutions, and enable private and corporate philanthropy to engage more effectively with climate action. We work closely with the climate ecosystem, including research organisations, implementers, government stakeholders, businesses, and more, as well as engage with our domestic and international donor base to ensure that funding flows towards high-impact climate solutions. We were founded by some of India's pre-eminent corporate and philanthropic leaders, including Rohini Nilekani, Ratan Tata, Anand Mahindra, Nadir Godrej, and others.
Our team is a small, tight‐knit group driven by a shared passion for achieving the ICC’s mission and vision. An ideal addition to our team is a self-starter, always willing to roll up their sleeves and get stuff done. We prefer candidates with a good eye for detail, commitment to a high quality of output, and a team-centric mindset.
Role Recognising that multiple entry barriers exist both for funders looking to fund climate solutions and non-profits trying to raise funding for their climate work, we are working to build out a Climate Solutions Platform. This will be an online curated marketplace platform to connect different groups of funders with impactful climate solutions in the development sector. To build this platform, we are looking for a product management consultant to come on board for 6 – 12 months, to oversee and manage the process of building this platform.

This role will report to the Head of Strategy, and be responsible for:

    • Overseeing and advising on user design and development of the Climate Solutions Platform, based on inputs from an audience scoping of the target funder network
    • Creating user journeys and personas, selecting the ideal building/hosting tool and developer, ensuring that the design is consistent with ICC’s aesthetic, etc.
    • Selecting and managing a team (agency/consultants) to design and develop the platform
    • Creating a process flow, timeline, and budget for the build stage of the product
    • Iterating the product based on feedback from users and other stakeholders

    • A bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant work experience in a technology/product role
    • Prior experience with building tech products
    • Prior experience liaising with developers and consultants
    • Excellent design thinking skills and a sleek aesthetic
    • A keen eye for detail
    • Good project management skills with an ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines
    • Prior experience in contracting and managing third-party vendors including developers, consultants, designers, agencies, artists, etc.
    • Interest in and understanding of Indian climate and non-profit sectors preferred
