The VP of Human Resources is a senior-level HR executive responsible for strategically aligning human resources strategies with the overall business objectives, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership by providing expert consultation on all HR matters, including talent management, employee relations, performance management, and culture and engagement. Reporting directly to the CHRO, this role will provide HR leadership for the Technology and Product organizations at Cloudinary and have HR oversight for offices in Israel and Poland. Leading a team of five HR Professionals, the VP of Human Resources plays a pivotal role in coaching leaders, scaling HR programs, and delivering people strategies to optimize workforce performance and drive long-term success.

Responsibilities:

    • Strategic Partnership: Actively participate in business planning and execution leveraging a deep understanding of the business to translate plans into clear and comprehensive HR strategies that directly support business objectives
    • Executive Coaching and Consultation: Provide expert advice and guidance to leaders on complex HR issues, including employee relations, performance management, compensation, organizational effectiveness, and change management
    • Talent Management: Lead initiatives to attract, retain, and develop talent across the organization, including talent reviews, succession planning, and development programs
    • Performance Management: Oversee the implementation and execution of performance management processes, ensuring alignment with business goals and coaching managers on performance feedback and development
    • Employee Relations: Manage employee relations issues proactively, investigating and addressing concerns, and ensuring fairness and consistency
    • Compliance: Ensure adherence to HR processes, policies, and local labor laws and regulations; work closely with global HR teams to maintain consistency in HR policies
    • Culture and Engagement: Champion company culture to drive employee engagement and strengthen company values; develop strategies to enhance the employee experience
    • Change Management: Lead and support organizational change initiatives, communicate effectively with employees, help teams navigate transitions and scale challenges
    • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of HR professionals, fostering a high-performing and collaborative HR function; ensure HR team members have the resources and support needed to deliver impactful HR programs
    • HR Metrics and Analysis: Monitor key HR metrics, analyze data to identify trends, and utilize insights to inform decision-making and improve HR effectiveness
    • HR Team Collaboration: Proactively partner and collaborate across the global HR team, share information, and provide thought leadership and a solution-oriented direction to optimize the business value of the HR function.

About You:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; or similar focus and/or equivalent HR experience
    • Minimum 10 years of HRBP experience, preferably in the SaaS, software development space, with at least 5 years managing and developing HR teams
    • Business acumen with the ability to understand complex business challenges; align HR strategies with business goals, advise senior leaders, and drive organizational success
    • Expertise in talent management practices including recruitment, career development, and succession planning
    • Knowledge of global HR policies, compensation structures, and performance management systems
    • Experience and understanding of employment laws and regulations in Israel; and Poland are a plus
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a global, multicultural environment
    • Strong change management skills, with experience leading HR initiatives during periods of growth, transformation, or restructuring to optimize workforce performance
    • Deep understanding of employee engagement strategies and culture-building initiatives
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
