CloudNC's mission is to make single-click manufacturing a reality.

We build software that automates control of CNC machines - metalcutting robots that make >$1Trn of components every year, for anything from aircraft to iPhones to cars.

Worldwide over 100 million hours are spent painstakingly programming these incredible machines by hand every year, and we believe this is a colossal waste of human time and talent in an industry already facing an existential skills crisis. Our software, CAM Assist, brings one-click automation to CNC machining.

Our world-class team, with tier 1 financial backers including Atomico, Autodesk and Lockheed Martin, combines expertise in computer science and physical manufacturing, from our locations in London and Chelmsford.

We are scaling from Series B to C at pace and are fully funded for this growth.



The Role

This is a new team at CloudNC, and we are hiring for entrepreneurial, autonomous and highly ambitious individuals to scale CAM Assist sales while helping develop the playbook that future CloudNC sales teams will operate by. You will have significant influence on how CAM Assist is marketed and sold. You will be an A-Player who wants to work with other A-Players and help reshape a global industry.

You will initially work directly with the CEO and VP Operations. This role is expected to be remote.

Role duties

    • Sell CAM Assist: Execute on warm inbound leads to make sales of CAM Assist, primarily to SME precision factories and manufacturing OEMs in the US market.
    • Develop the sales playbook: CAM Assist is a new product in the market, and you will need to help develop the playbook for selling it, experimenting and iterating to sell ever more effectively.
    • Deeply understand the product: Build a detailed understanding of CAM Assist, it’s capabilities, and relevance to the gamut of customer problems it can resolve. You will be expected to demonstrate the product to potential customers.
    • Deeply understand the customers: Build a detailed understanding of CAM Assist’s customers, their pain points, drives and motivations.
    • Be data-led: CloudNC culture is data-driven. You will be expected to generate and analyse sales data, and provide insights to improve your own sales performance and that of the team.
    • Engage with the tech team to improve CAM Assist: You will be expected to engage with CloudNC’s product team to provide frontline customer insights that the tech team can use to improve the product.

Experience:

    • 4+ years experience in SaaS business development, with a track record of exceeding sales targets.
    • Exposure to precision machining.
    • Engineering degree.

Desirable

    • STEM degree.
    • Manufacturing/engineering understanding.
