CLO Virtual Fashion is a world leader in 3D garment technology, demonstrated in our flagship products CLO (www.clo3d.com) and Marvelous Designer (www.marvelousdesigner.com) – recipient of the 2024 Sci-Tech Academy Award.  The company leads the market by digitally merging, consolidating, and converging all components related to digital garments.

We are currently seeking research interns to join our R&D team in exploring all-things related to cloth and fashion.  Research topics include but are not limited to software design, geometry processing, physics-based simulation, procedural modeling, rendering, visualization, and interactive methods.  Our research team is continually creating innovative solutions to challenging problems in virtual fashion design.

Responsibilities

    • Perform cutting-edge research to advance our R&D capabilities in garment simulation, computer graphics, artificial intelligence, numerical simulation, rendering, and 2D/3D CAD.
    • Interface with engineers, developers, and 3D designers to translate research findings into actionable advancements of our products and projects.
    • Assist researchers in literature surveys, rapid prototyping, and documenting results.

Requirements

    • Current graduate student (or recent graduate) enrolled in MSc or PhD program in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Creative Technologies, or related fields.
    • Passionate about graphics, simulation, software design, and research.
    • Strong C++ and math skills, notably in linear algebra and optimization.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Must be fully available for the duration of a 12-14 week assignment.

Plus if you have

    • Knowledge of OpenGL and GPU technologies, including CUDA, OpenCL, or Metal.
    • Positive outlook, is self-motivated, and takes initiative.
    • Experience with animation tools, such as Maya, 3ds Max, Houdini, or Blender.
    • Experience with fashion tools, such as CLO or Marvelous Designer.
    • Experience with fashion, pattern design, or textiles.
