The Role

As the Head of News and Media Publishers, you will be the subject matter expert leading our news and media publisher vertical. You are someone that is passionate about traditional and digital media, Clubhouse and the intersection of the two. The position will lead Clubhouse’s media efforts focused on building and executing strategies and programs to drive high impact and authentic use of Clubhouse among journalists, editors, reporters, and creators within the media ecosystem as a whole. 

This role will report into our Head of Media Partnerships. During the pandemic, we are working remotely. This role will be open to both local and US-based, remote candidates. We will have an office in San Francisco when we are able to safely reopen our office for those who prefer to work in person.

What you will do

As the Head of News and Media Publishers, you will handle day-to-day operations and partnership management, field and prioritize incoming requests, troubleshoot partner issues, ideate programmatic moments and improve partner performance. This work will require cross-functional engagement with colleagues across product, marketing, communications, community, verticals and regions to communicate our partners needs for the best experience on Clubhouse. 

You’ll be an owner. We believe in hiring people and giving them as much responsibility as they can handle. As part of the Clubhouse team, you lead strategy and outreach efforts with creators and industry influencers to develop innovative and high impact partnerships. You will initiate, negotiate, and project manage high priority partnerships while trend forecasting new rising partners. You will track, analyze, and communicate quantitative metrics and business trends as they relate to partners.
