As a member of the Trust & Safety Operations team, you will build and manage policies, processes, and scaled solutions for global operations to keep Clubhouse safe.
In this role, you will report to our Head of Trust and Safety Operations and will work closely with Product and Policy teams. We are a remote friendly-company — with our headquarters in San Francisco, a second office in LA, and a strong commitment to ensuring people can do great work here and thrive without having to live near an office. This role is open to candidates across the U.S.

You understand people, emotions and social products. You consider how content and policies make people think, feel, and act, considering diverse audiences. You’re knowledgeable about social networks but excited to look at things from a fresh perspective and think through the nuances and challenges of real-time audio.
You’re a systems-thinker and a strong communicator. You can learn new systems, frameworks, and processes quickly. You solve problems methodically, and value accuracy, consistency, and fairness. You’re a strong written communicator; you can capture the essence of complex situations fast and communicate with sensitivity.

What you will do
You’ll ensure content and conversations in Clubhouse are safe. You’ll provide end to end management of Clubhouse policies: from working with Policy Development to craft policies, to operationalizing enforcement, to building out comms to our users. You’ll evaluate user feedback, monitor trends, and proactively identify risks and work with the team to address them fast. You’ll be a part of the critical mission to protect users by managing policies such as hate, harassment, and violent extremism.
You’ll provide critical insights for trust & safety policies and processes. Whether you’re testing a new user reporting flow, implementing a new escalation pathway, or monitoring community health, you’ll be amazed by the big impact you will have and the opportunities to grow with the team.
You’ll be a voice for Clubhouse users and communities. You will engage directly with Clubhouse users in a critical part of their experience, ensuring our policies, reporting procedures, and communications are clear, accessible, and effective. You’ll be a critical voice on user safety to the trust & safety team and the entire company.
You’ll shape the product and culture. Everything we build is shaped by the experiences of our user community. You will leverage your first-hand knowledge on user safety to inform product, policy, and systems development. You’ll see firsthand the impact your work has on how users engage with each other and the product. Your perspective and voice will always be heard.
