The Role 

As our first internal information technology hire, you’ll be laying the technological foundation for how Clubhouse gets work done. From heading up the build out of our new office, to onboarding and offboarding devices, to securing the corporate assets that our business relies on, your scope will cover all that and then some of what traditional IT management roles expect. Our company has grown from 9 to 90 this year alone, and this is a unique opportunity to play a leadership role in a growing organization. Your contribution and guidance will set the path for how Clubhouse’s information technology discipline will grow. 

We are a remote friendly-company, but due to the responsibilities of this role, it will be based out of our San Francisco headquarters.

You are experienced. You have deep expertise in the realm of information technology. You have owned aspects of IT programs in prior roles, from inception to implementation to operational management. You know which tools to reach for to get the job done efficiently. 

You bias towards action. You like to build and ship - favoring practical choices, speed and a respect for sequencing. You focus on the things that matter and push back on things that don’t. You make deadlines for yourself and you move fast. 

You’re scrappy and entrepreneurial. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are comfortable with not knowing the answer to something. You are willing to roll up your sleeves no matter what the challenge is. 

You take pride in what you do. Keeping an organization’s supporting IT stack ticking like a well oiled machine motivates you. Improving organization productivity is a puzzle you want to solve. 

You care about doing the right thing. You value diversity and go out of your way to ensure others feel welcome. You enjoy hanging out with your teammates, have a low-ego, and make the workplace more fun for everyone. 

What you will do 

You’ll lay the foundation for our information technology program. Starting with a build out of our new corporate office, you’ll lead the way in ensuring the space is ready to go technologically the day it opens. From there, you’ll assess our current information technology stance and figure out where we are lacking and what needs to be prioritized. You’ll reign in ownership of various IT-related processes like onboarding and offboarding, vendor assessments and integrations, and corporate asset management. 

You’ll be the guardian of our corporate assets. As part of the Clubhouse team, you will move fast. From endpoint management, to provisioning and deprovisioning access, to protecting corporate identity and tying it into all things authentication, to handling internal escalations, to anything and everything that enables our employees to operate securely on a daily basis, you’ll be the point person for ensuring our corporate ecosystem is as safe as possible. This will require a mix of taking existing and proven tools off the shelf as well as building out new tooling and infrastructure to glue things together, coming up with novel and efficient solutions where more standard approaches may be lacking.
