As the Director, Business Development, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the organization's business development strategy to achieve growth and revenue targets. This will work closely with the Senior Director, Strategic Partnerships in executing the business development strategy for the region including identifying new opportunities, developing relationships with potential clients, and managing the sales process to secure new business. 

Strategic Business Growth
Developing and implementing a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve the organization's growth and revenue targets. 
Identifying target markets and industries, developing a pipeline of potential clients
Identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with the company's strategic objectives and target markets
Drive execution through ideation through to close.

Enterprise Opportunity Development
Support sales leadership on complex, non-standard, or multi-party enterprise deals.
Collaborate with legal, finance, and product teams to structure and negotiate custom deals.
Represent the company in senior-level external discussions with prospects and partners.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with marketing, product, finance, and legal to launch new initiatives or offerings.
Collaborate with legal, finance, and product teams to structure and negotiate deals. Lead the preparation of proposals, presentations, and negotiations to secure new business deals.
Provide market feedback to product and GTM teams to inform roadmap and messaging.
Lead internal working groups or task forces when new initiatives require alignment across teams.

Market & Competitive Intelligence
Continuously research market trends, emerging opportunities, and competitor strategies.
Prepare actionable insights and recommendations for the leadership team.
Support executive decision-making with high-quality analysis and partner reports.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
    • Proven track record of successful business development and sales.
    • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
    • Strong understanding of hardware and software product ecosystems.
    • Experience in contract negotiations and closing high value opportunities.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Familiarity with CRM software and sales processes.
    • Proven experience in Sales or Account Management role
    • Previous experience in the Signage, Shop fitting or Construction industries is desirable
    • Proven experience in Estimating is a nice-to-have.

Capabilities:

    • Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to handle customer complaints and solve problems.
    • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
    • Excellent negotiation skills
    • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, to meet deadlines and objectives
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite 
$100,000 - $120,000 a year
Plus commission: target OTE $140,000-$160,000
