The Director of Hardware Deployment Services is accountable for the successful execution of all equipment installation and field deployment projects across the ANZ and International Market Region. This role leads the Installation and Field Operations teams, overseeing the physical deployment of hardware systems and on-site implementations while facilitating cross-functional alignment to ensure timely, efficient, and commercially profitable delivery.
The Director drives operational excellence across the complete hardware installation lifecycle - from initial site assessment and equipment staging through final commissioning and client handover. This position is responsible for managing field technicians, coordinating with logistics and supply chain teams, and ensuring all physical installations meet quality standards and client specifications.
Key responsibilities include monitoring and reporting on project financial performance, driving continuous improvement in installation methodologies, and delivering exceptional client experiences throughout the hardware deployment process. The role requires strong leadership of field service teams, vendor management for installation contractors, and close collaboration with project management, engineering, and client services departments.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale hardware installations, field operations, and physical infrastructure deployments, with a proven track record of delivering complex equipment installations on time and within budget while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
Individual Accountabilities
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and execute organizationally aligned deployment strategy and operational plans, successfully deliver all deployment projects within accountable region, define team goals, operational objectives, and annual budget targets in partnership with VP Operations.
- Program & Project Governance: Oversee key programs and complex initiatives that enhance deployment performance ,continuously refine deployment structures and processes to manage ongoing projects and support projected growth, create and improve policies and procedures for operational excellence
- Financial Management :Manage financial performance including budget targets and resource allocation, drive profitability and efficiency improvements through process optimization, system enhancements, and automation, proactively mitigate deployment financial and operational risks through analysis, planning, and action
- Customer Experience & Satisfaction : Maintain exceptional customer satisfaction standards, develop customer feedback mechanisms to address concerns and resolve escalations, deliver outstanding deployment services that exceed client expectations
- Stakeholder Management & Communication: Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders including Account Management and global operations teams, enable continuous scale, commercial performance, and client satisfaction through collaborative relationships, communicate deployment KPIs effectively across all relevant stakeholder groups
- Hardware Installation Management: Overseeing physical equipment deployment and on-site installations
Qualifications and Experience
- 10+ years in installation deployment/construction management with proven project delivery track record
- 5+ years leading high-performance teams and culture development
- Proven ability to inspire, motivate, and develop team members to achieve exceptional results
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and stakeholder relationships
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining momentum
- Understanding of value engineering, construction laws, and local codes
- Hardware deployment, integration, and installation process knowledge
- Strong problem-solving skills to navigate technical challenges
