Coda’s Global Partnerships team's mission is to ensure the success of Coda by committing ourselves to the success of our digital content and service partners.  This global team of business development professionals engages with leading providers of digital content and services as well as local payment and content distribution partners to execute situationally dependent partnership strategies that connect partner supply (digital content and services) to global consumer demand and measurably drive partner revenue and margin growth.   

About This Role
This will be a regional role covering key markets such as Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos, and plays a vital role in Coda's overall revenue and profitability. As local partnerships are essential to our success in this region, the Account Manager will play a pivotal role in driving Coda's growth. In addition to supporting business development initiatives, this role will provide valuable assistance to other functional teams as required, ensuring seamless operations and maximizing opportunities for success.

Job Description
As an Account Manager, your pivotal role revolves around nurturing and managing client relationships to ensure their utmost satisfaction and amplify their significance to our organization. Serving as the primary liaison between our company and clients, you'll delve deep into understanding their unique needs, swiftly addressing concerns, and adeptly identifying untapped avenues for mutual growth and prosperity.

Responsibilities:

    • Client Relationship Management: Establish and nurture positive relationships with both current and potential clients by thoroughly understanding their needs, goals, and expectations. Maintain regular communication with clients to gauge satisfaction levels, promptly address any concerns, and customize solutions to align with their specific requirements.
    • Account Planning: Enhance account planning by creating detailed strategies to meet client needs and drive mutual success. Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling products/services aligned with client goals. Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions and adapt plans based on client feedback and market trends.
    • Account Management: Ensure adherence to legal and compliance obligations by meticulously managing all paperwork related to fee adjustments, tax implications, and other regulatory matters. Proactively follow up on any payment delays or settlement issues to uphold seamless business operations. Serve as the primary liaison externally, representing Coda, and internally, advocating for the partner or market perspective when collaborating across various Coda teams. Additionally, oversee the day-to-day interactions with local partners, including managing operational tasks and troubleshooting as needed.
    • Reporting & Performance Tracking: Track performance metrics for assigned accounts and analyze data to uncover trends and improvement opportunities. Strengthen reporting by delivering detailed insights on business development activities, key performance indicators, and market trends. Provide regular reports analyzing sales pipelines, client engagement, competitor activities, and industry benchmarks. Identify patterns and areas for optimization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align reporting with strategic objectives and foster a culture of improvement.
    • Market Knowledge & Support: Stay informed about market changes, including competitor movements, payment landscape shifts, distribution trends, pricing benchmarks, and regulatory updates. Build and nurture a network of local industry leaders to gather valuable insights and stay ahead of market trends. Collaborate in cross-functional and cross-regional initiatives to share best practices and provide support. Additionally, offer local administrative assistance to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

    • 2+  years of experience in Account Management, B2B sales or BD, with a proven track record of negotiating, closing deals and retaining accounts in the country
    • Proficiency in both written and spoken Thai is a must as this role handles local partners in Thailand
    • Experience in Payments, Fintech or distribution of digital content is a strong plus
    • Track record of effectively optimizing and managing partnerships
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; can communicate clearly and effectively
    • Strong skills in strategic thinking, data analysis and creative problem-solving
    • High sense of ownership, autonomy and self-motivation
