As Cogito continues to grow, we’re seeking a Controller to join our Finance team. The Controller will be passionate about contributing to a fast growing technology start up and oversee the entire accounting and revenue functions. Ideal candidates will have a strong grasp of revenue recognition within the software industry, and a desire to join a company experiencing significant sustainable growth. 

• Highly visible role, , reporting directly to the CFO & interacting with CEO as well as other members of the Senior Leadership team

    • Responsibilities: 
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations for the accounting team to produce accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP for all corporate and country operations.Design,
    • enable and manage operational processes to help drive revenue, understand and control expenses and create internal efficiencies, visibility and accountability
    • Assist with Implementation of new financial reporting systems and solutions as required
    • Manage accounting staff  to ensure financial operations such as payable, receivables, monthly close are properly executed 
    • Support capital raising efforts, Cogito Board of Directors meeting preparation, and other related activities as necessaryInvestor RelationsOversee and supervise month-end close procedures
    • Collaborate with sales team to build complex sales transactions
    • Collaborate with other business units on budgets/forecasting


    • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s / Master’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • 10+ years of accounting experience
    • Some experience from SaaS/technology industry and/or public accounting ideal
    • Experience with SaaS revenue recognition 
    • Proven ability to create complex financial models and develop scenario analysisStrong communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to present complex information in an “easy to understand” and transparent way
    • Proven ability to collaborate well with others
    • Flexible mindset and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as required     
    • General understanding of software revenue recognitionHigh degree of integrity
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Excellent collaboration, problem-solving, decision-making, and presentation skills
