Join us in shaping the future of AI-driven functionality and delivering best-in-class products to our users! You'll be instrumental in crafting clear, consistent, and compelling content across technical documentation and in-product UX.

We're seeking a Principal Content Designer to lead, plan, and develop technical content for our AI-driven features and functionality. This includes articles for different types of technical audiences and different types of copy to improve interactions between users and AI-driven agents.  

You'll be part of our Content Design team, which is responsible for customer-facing product documentation on content portals and product interfaces. You'll collaborate closely with developers, program managers, and designers to ensure that content is a streamlined part of our products and experiences.

We're looking for a combination of UX writer, technical writer, and linguist who can help build taxonomies, author prompts, and shape logic to create and apply content patterns and technical writing best practices across our portfolio of services and offerings.

Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and develop AI-driven content strategies that align with broader content strategies 
    • Develop content plans and identify content needs across audiences
    • Create language quality assurance processes for AI agents and chatbots Find and fix problems related to tone, clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
    • Apply information design principles to improve generative AI results. Develop structures and content sets that optimize the flow of information and engage customers.
    • Continuously improve products and interfaces through expertise in language and linguistics
    • Verify, edit, and improve short descriptions and summaries generated by AI  features
    • Organize and structure content to align with overall information architectures across platforms and content sets
    • Align content deliverables with product release dates and deliverables
    • Monitor insights to make data-driven content decisions
    • Contribute to defining and maintaining new concepts and terminology for AI-focused features and functionality
    • Collaborate with content designers to develop and maintain clear and concise policies and guidelines governing AI behavior and its responsible use within the product
    • Incorporate localization best practices into content development. Collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate the accurate and culturally appropriate translation of AI agents and documentation into prioritized languages.

Required qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, or a related field 
    • Understanding of natural language processing and other AI technologies
    • Understanding of information architecture principles
    • Minimum 6 years of experience with content design/technical writing/UX writing
    • Excellent command of English language
    • Experience working with LLMs and conversational design
    • Familiarity with AI projects in agile software development 
    • Familiarity with  “docs-as-code” tools and processes
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
    • Strong attention to detail 
    • Creative mindset with a passion for innovation and new technologies

Desired, but not required

    • Understanding of computational and structural linguistics
    • Computer programming skills
    • Experience documenting APIs
