We are looking for a Sales Planner to develop media plans and strategic proposals that align with client objectives and KPIs. In this role, you’ll act as a key liaison between advertisers and internal teams, helping to bring campaign strategies to life. You’ll partner closely with Sales, Client Success, Product, and Data Science to generate ideas, build thoughtful proposals, and support the pre-sales process from start to finish. This is a great opportunity for someone who is collaborative, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in the AdTech space.
 
This position will be located in New York City with a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in office (Mon/Tue/Wed) and 2 days remote optional (Thursday/Friday).

Responsibilities

    • Work closely with the Sales team to understand client objectives, needs, and preferences.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Client Success, Product, Data Science, and Marketing to develop RFP responses, proactive proposals, and pitch materials.
    • Assist in selling new business and upselling existing clients by contributing to strategic sales efforts.
    • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Cognitiv products and services to effectively communicate their value to clients.
    • Support the management of pre-sales processes both internally and externally.
    • Assist in owning the RFP process for the Sales and Client Success teams, identifying opportunities for process improvement.
    • Develop and refine client-facing strategic materials to support sales efforts.
    • Utilize analytics to establish benchmarks, refine strategies, and measure campaign success.
    • Build and maintain internal relationships, effectively communicating program details to operational teams

Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree (preferred but not required: Marketing, Business, Sales, Technology Related)
    • 1-3 years’ experience in agency or publisher environment with sales planning or client services responsibilities (programmatic preferred)
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task and function well under pressure and tight delivery timeframes
    • Proficiency in Microsoft excel and PowerPoint
    • Knowledgeable of the latest digital advertising trends and online media
    • Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
    • Possess strong analytical skills; ability to inspect, analyze, and influence using data

Salary

    • $60,000-$90,000 Base Salary + Equity
Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to job-related knowledge, level of relevant experience, education and skills.
