We are looking for a Director of Client Success with excellent customer service skills and experience in performance marketing. This role will operate within the ‘Client Success’ team and you will lead a small but growing team of account managers. You will have a passion for building relationships, and you will oversee Cognitiv’s client base in the US ensuring client business goals are being met and that we deliver superior service. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to combine your digital media experience at an AI first organization. You will be required to work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Data Science .
This position will be located in New York with a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in office (Mon/Tue/Wed) and 2 days remote (Thursday/Friday).
Responsibilities
- Oversee the health of clients and be a strategic advisor, guiding problem-solving discussions and providing best-in-class client services.
- Continuously focus on ensuring revenue retention, and identifying incremental revenue opportunities.
- Work closely and communicate effectively with other departments.
- Support sales staff in all day-to-day activities.
- Demonstrate an excellent understanding of Cognitiv products and services.
- Lead key client meetings.
- Develop trusting and productive relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Coach a team of Account Managers; overseeing their day-to-day management, motivating the team by setting clear expectations, developing career path plans, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining a high level of performance from the team to develop the next generation of leaders.
- Communicate effectively with other functional leaders by solving business challenges together, identifying opportunities for growth, and collaborating to drive efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing and/or equivalent industry experience.
- 8+ years of sales support/client management experience in the digital media industry with 1-2 years managing a team
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth with large customer accounts.
- Strong management and leadership skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Four or more years Programmatic experience.
- Background in programmatic advertising
- Demonstrate experience with decision-making, organization, planning and problem-solving with proven ability to identify and prioritize critical issues
- Ambition to develop personally and nurture the development of others.
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Creative independent thinker with ability to pivot, roll up sleeves and cross collaborate on a moment’s notice.
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through with team members and clients.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment, and take ownership and accountability, as well as manage expectations (internally and externally)
- Experience answering RFPs a plus
Salary
- $170,000-$190,000 Base Salary + Equity
Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to job-related knowledge, level of relevant experience, education and skills.
