Position: Project Engineer III- Municipal

Responsibilities:

Perform engineering design/duties, including, but not limited to:
Assist with the production and/or review of construction plans for various projects, including residential, commercial, and   municipal infrastructure design.
Design full set of Construction Documents with minimal design supervision.
Proficient with reviewing/preparing alignments, water and sanitary networks, and profiles.
Perform site visits to verify field conditions and monitor construction when directed.
Review a full set of construction documents with oversight from the Project Manager.
Coordinating project design with outside consultants and architects.
Design water quality.
Design stormwater detention.
Provide markups and direction to designers.
Preparing quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and bid specifications for CIP projects.
Confirm quantity takeoffs, cost estimates and specifications for design performed by outside consultants.
Performing site visits to verify field conditions and monitor construction.
Maintaining project documentation
Analyzing and designing utility, grading, paving, and drainage infrastructure. 
Assist in developing and tracking of security deposits for land development projects.
Communicate and maintain good communication with coworkers, consultants, municipalities, and developers.
Perform quantity takeoffs, shop drawing review, and prepare bid specifications for CIP projects.
Perform quality control reviews of design projects.
Provide guidance and mentoring for entry level staff members.
Present projects to clients, agencies, municipalities, and the general public
 
Requirements:
 
·        Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
·        Must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam (if applicable)
·        4 - 6 years of water/wastewater experience
·        Passing the Professional Engineer exam (if applicable)
·        Excellent time management skills, organizational and communication abilities
·        Ability to maintain a strong sense of focus and confidence under tight deadlines and varying workloads
·        Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD software
