Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly accomplished Director of Engineering to lead our global engineering organization in driving organizational transformation, platform modernization, and large-scale ERP and core services migrations. This leader will spearhead efforts to build and scale next-generation distributed systems on AWS, consolidate platforms, and modernize legacy environments to cloud-native, event-driven architectures.

The ideal candidate brings an AI-first mindset, deep expertise in event-driven and microservices architectures, and a proven track record of executing large-scale migrations , ERP implementations (NetSuite, Workday, D365 etc.), and platform consolidation programs.

This leader will guide a diverse, remote-first engineering team across multiple geographies, foster innovation, and drive excellence in enterprise integration with SaaS platforms (Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday) and real-time enterprise data platforms.

What You'll Do

    • Lead modernization and migration of legacy systems to cloud-native architectures and microservices.
    • Define and drive the architectural vision for scalable, event-driven distributed systems on AWS.
    • Oversee engineering teams building microservices, serverless applications, relational and NoSQL databases.
    • Champion adoption of AI-first approaches to improve productivity, monitoring, testing, and automation.
    • Drive platform consolidation and core services migration to reduce complexity and operational costs.
    • Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed engineering organization across time zones.
    • Establish a culture of excellence, ownership, and collaboration.
    • Ensure teams are aligned with business priorities and deliver on time with high quality.
    • Ensure systems operate at scale with resiliency, performance, and observability as top priorities.
    • Implement world-class monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks for real-time visibility.
    • Establish practices for cost optimization, high availability, and disaster recovery.
    • Lead integration strategy with SaaS products like Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, and other ERP platforms.
    • Orchestrate large-scale ERP migrations and data consolidation initiatives.
    • Drive adoption of enterprise integration tools, data warehouses, and messaging/event platforms.
    • Build real-time dashboards and analytics platforms to support executive decision-making.
    • Partner with product, data, and business teams to align engineering execution with business goals.
    • Anticipate industry trends and position the company to leverage emerging AI and cloud-native technologies.

What You'll Need to Succeed

    • 12+ years in software engineering, with 5+ years in leadership roles managing distributed teams.
    • Strong background in organizational transformation, platform modernization, and ERP/core services migrations.
    • Proven expertise in AWS cloud services, event-driven systems, and microservices.
    • Strong background in transactional system design with high performance and reliability.
    • Hands-on experience with relational (Postgres, MySQL) and non-relational databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB, etc.).
    • Demonstrated success in building AI-enabled systems, automation frameworks, or ML/AI integrations.
    • Strong knowledge of enterprise SaaS integration (Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday) and enterprise data platforms.
    • Exceptional leadership and communication skills to guide global teams.
    • Strong background in observability practices (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.).
    • Deep understanding of enterprise data pipelines, real-time dashboards, and data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
    • Ability to work across product, engineering, data, and executive leadership to align strategy and execution.
