Job Overview/Summary:
The Social Media Manager sits at the center of all things emerging trends, and social media / community management. They are responsible for not only the creation of original content, but keeping up with daily posting, editing, engagement, and strategy. The Social Media manager supports Collab internally with the independent production of varied and original social content, but also externally in engaging with creators, and community members. This is a contract to hire position (3 month contract to start, with the potential to transition to full-time (4 days a week, M-Thurs)).

Duties & Essential Functions

    • Manages all internal social accounts on behalf of Collab, including Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and LinkedIn, in addition to Rufus (pet-themed brand) Instagram and TikTok, and UOK Computer Instagram and TikTok
    • Leveraging Collab’s video library, and extensive knowledge of emerging trends, produces original content for all social platforms 
    • Maintains frequency of social media posts, with emphasis on Collab IG, posting minimum of 4 times per day 
    • Films, Edits & posts videos for our various social media (on camera a plus)
    • Condenses and edits clips from Live Events (VidCon, Playlist Live) and assembles / posts recap videos
    • Contributes to weekly voiceovers, drafting compilation videos for TikTok
    • Creates compilation videos for Rufusgoodboy channel, distributing across TikTok and Instagram
    • Leads community management on all social platforms, engaging with followers, and interacting with our creators
    • Works in conjunction with Design team to ensure up-to-date branding across platforms 
    • Consumes media to be able to present Collab’s social image as one of relevance and interest 
    • Participates in weekly writing brainstorms for in-network talent, offering thought starters 
    • Attends meetings in partnership with Talent & Audience Growth teams to advise creators on strategy and content direction, and make recommendations as requested
    • Responsible for all social copy and consistent brand image; strong understanding of Collab’s brand voice
    • Assists with Social Media Monetization for select creators on Facebook, as requested
    • Other duties, as assigned

Skills & Qualifications Required:

    • Undergraduate degree in related field
    • 2-3 years experience in social media management / community management 
    • High proficiency in using softwares such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva Pro 
    • Strong familiarity with entire Google Suite, and Google tools
    • Immersed in all things social trends, with a keen interest and eye on TikTok 
    • Strong skills in communication, comfortable interfacing with both internal and external stakeholders
    • Experienced in writing creative copy
    • Skilled in making content recommendations, surrounding style, format, length 
    • Exhibits consistency and adherence to important timelines
    • Skilled at understanding and executing brand voice
$25 - $32 an hour
