We are seeking a VP of Architecture to serve as the Chief Architect for COMPLY. This individual contributor role reporting into the CTO will be pivotal in shaping our technology strategy and architectural direction, driving innovation across our product portfolio, and integrating AI capabilities into our future platforms. 

Responsibilities:

    • Architecture Strategy & Vision
    • Define and communicate a long-term architectural vision that ensures platform scalability, efficiency, and flexibility to support COMPLY’s growth.
    • Break down this vision into actionable, executable programs aligned with product and business priorities.
    • Collaborative Leadership
    • Direct and influence the architecture of COMPLY’s platform by working closely with engineering, product, operations, and security teams.
    • Serve as the architecture authority, ensuring technical decisions align with enterprise goals and customer needs.
    • Technical Analysis & Communication
    • Quickly analyze, capture, and share the current state architecture through clear presentations, diagrams, and documentation.
    • Translate complex technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels, including executives, developers, operations, and non-technical business stakeholders, using language tailored to each audience.
    • Innovation & Delivery
    • Design and build future AI platforms, integrating them into COMPLY’s compliance offerings to create differentiated client value.
    • Drive the integration of multiple product platforms into a unified compliance ecosystem, leveraging modern cloud-native architectures.
    • Hands-On Contribution
    • Write code as needed, leading proofs of concept (POCs) to validate architectural strategies and demonstrate feasibility.
    • Work with clients to integrate COMPLY’s products into their enterprise platforms, ensuring seamless and secure deployments.
    • Client Empathy & Value Creation
    • Collaborate closely with Product Management teams to ensure architectural decisions align with customer pain points and deliver tangible value.

Qualifications:

    • Technical Expertise
    • Deep experience in .NET application architecture and best practices.
    • Expertise with one of more cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, GCP
    • Strong knowledge of cloud architectures and transformation, including SaaS, PaaS, microservices, and AI platform design.
    • Ability to apply architecture frameworks and methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) to formally document and communicate system architectures.
    • Leadership & Influence
    • 15+ years of progressive software development and architecture experience, with recent experience as a principal or chief architect.
    • Proven ability to lead without authority, influencing design and implementation decisions across multiple teams and products.
    • Domain Knowledge
    • Strong understanding of the financial services domain, especially securities and trading systems, compliance workflows, and regulatory technology.
    • Innovation & Execution
    • Experience designing scalable enterprise platforms and translating architectural strategies into actionable roadmaps.
    • Hands-on ability to develop POCs, evaluate technologies, and guide implementation best practices.
    • Opinionated about SDLC and software development best practices
    • Strong problem solving skills with a bias for action
    • Communication & Collaboration
    • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage confidently across executives, technical teams, and clients.
    • Strong presentation and storytelling skills to drive architectural buy-in and alignment.
    • Client & Product Focus
    • Demonstrated empathy for end users and a passion for building platforms that solve real business problems efficiently.
$180,000 - $200,000 a year
The compensation range for this role is specific to the United States. It takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, skill sets, training, licensure and certification, and experience. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role would be $180,000- $200,000 plus applicable bonus/benefits offerings, etc., as those similarly situated within the Company.
