Location: Belgrade, Serbia (Hybrid) 3 days in the office, subject to change

We're seeking a highly-motivated, experienced and proven human resource professional to play a key role in our Belgrade, Serbia office. As a HR Generalist, you will be responsible for helping us grow our office and to be a place where people are both proud and excited to be a part of. This role reports to the VP of People based in New York, US, who will work closely with the local Data Ops and Tech teams. The ideal candidate is driven, strategic, and willing to roll-up their sleeves to get things done.

Responsibilities:

    • Employee relations
    • Leading any local ER cases, with the support from external lawyers if required;
    • Maintaining documentation and HR data for our Serbian employees
    • Maintaining Workbook, Internal regulations and all local policies in line with the legal requirements and taking lead of any local changes implementation.
    • Documenting all employee changes in Rippling and maintaining local files documentation signatures to ensure both digital and paper files are up to date with the help of Operations
    • Working closely with the finance team
    • Interactions with and reporting to state authorities, organizations, inspections, and local services providers
    • Management of services agreements with contractors - arranging signatures and files, follow up on contract ends with the managers and legal department
    • Answering any Serbian employee queries - contacts, benefits, etc
    • Ensure all new hires are welcomed and go through onboarding seamlessly and following all steps of the process.
    • Off-boarding employees timely and according to the termination process.
    • Set up basic procedures and processes documentation to be followed for performance and disciplinary issues.
    • Leading the implementation of the company's Performance and Development review locally
    • Collaborate with VP, People for local Compensations & Benefits management
    • Local market research and creating proposals for local benefits list.
    • Working closely with VP, People on group benefits extended to Serbian employees.
    • Local and International People x Culture Projects
    • Play an active role in local and key global People x Culture projects, as well as practice specific initiatives - L&D activities, engagement events - internal and external employer branding.
    • Identify potential projects and liaise with the VP, People to ensure effective delivery
    • Experience and Wellbeing initiatives: collaboratively work with the VP, People team to design and implement global projects with a localized touch
    • Localization of Global Policies

Skills & Experience:

    • Minimum 3+ years of HR generalist experience in local company
    • Extensive knowledge of Serbian HR legislation and confidence in drafting legal documents (contracts, amendments etc)
    • Experience in supporting a fast-moving business growth and working in a matrix environment
    • English level both written and speaking at a C1 level (enough to communicate with native speakers), Serbian - native.
    • Advanced Excel skills and PowerPoint, HRIS systems (ideally international ones)
    • Able to work on own initiative
    • Focus and attention to detail
    • Able to handle ambiguity and clarify objectives
    • Experience in working in an international company a plus, but not required.
