Summary of the Role
This position reports to the CFO while working closely with the SVP for Real-World Evidence Products. The defining responsibility of this role is to serve as the liaison between the Data Products team and Finance in managing tracking, forecasting, and communication of vital financial metrics needed to inform strategic decision-making as well as defining the financial performance of each Data Product as necessary to meet business objectives. The role requires knowledge of financial tools and systems, understanding of contractual obligations to our data providers, and an ability to work effectively with a wide range of internal stakeholders.

This role is an opportunity to shape a rapidly growing enterprise by instituting rigorous processes and disciplined decision-making throughout a highly complex business while working with all key company stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Partner with sales, data product, and finance teams to build internal reporting systems to inform prioritization of the product roadmap and pricing
Populate financial tracking models that:
Forecast revenue by a data product
Forecast revenue share according to data provider contracts (this will include all data uses; ECA and HEOR projects in addition to data licenses)
Map curation resource cost to each data product; reconcile against actuals with NetSuite inputs
Build Pro Forma financial models for each new data produced as part of a structured data product feasibility assessment
Build Pro Forma resourcing plan for custom curation data license projects to inform pricing models
Partner with various departments to create tracking processes to monitor productivity, financials, and other key data to support business decisions
Work rapidly with the sales operations team to assist in pricing and SOW creation
Continuously update and improve forecasting models for specific products and cost drivers
Reporting to senior leadership on the health of the business and specific products
Assist in the creation of new products, both data and SAS tools

    • BS/BA in Business, Finance, Accounting or other related fields
    • Minimum 3 years of experience with forecasting, developing long-range business plans and identifying risks
    • Strong leadership skills (planning, communication, relationship building, influencing)
    • Expert experience updating financial models for actuals and reforecasting
    • NetSuite experience highly preferred
    • Advanced knowledge Excel (especially advanced level pivot tables)
