Who We’re Looking For
We’re excited to add a Director of Finance to our executive team. This role oversees the full spectrum of finance and accounting operations across the organization—including corporate accounting, regulatory reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal control systems. Reporting to the COO, the Director of Finance will be a trusted advisor to the COO, driving the development and adherence of internal control policies, procedures, and financial planning as needed.

What You'll Do
- Strategic Leadership & Financial Oversight
- Executive Partnership: Partner with the COO and other senior leaders to shape and execute the company’s strategic plan, ensuring solvency, liquidity, and fiscal responsibility.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Direct the preparation of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and rolling cash forecasts (weekly forecasts), incorporating robust variance analysis and KPI reporting.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the timely production and comprehensive review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Provide insights on balance sheet reconciliations, revenue recognition, cost accounting, and overall financial performance.
- Operational Excellence & Process Optimization
- Accounting & Cash Management: Manage all accounting operations—including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, and variable compensation calculation (Including, Commissions, bonuses, etc.) —while optimizing cash flow and working capital.
- Internal Controls: Develop, document, and maintain strong internal control policies and procedures. Enhance processes to ensure a streamlined month-end and year-end close.
- Risk Management & Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws, regulatory requirements, and tax reporting. Oversee the coordination of annual audits and reviews.
- Banking & Treasury Relationships: Manage all banking relationships and credit agreements, ensuring timely monthly reporting and strategies to optimize the company’s cash position.
- Building Management: Manage contractual agreements related to the company’s physical premises, ensuring compliance and financial efficiency despite separate ownership of the building
What You'll Need
- 5 to 10 years of experience in accounting and finance with significant exposure to high-level financial management
- Prior leadership role(s) in challenging financial environments, preferably in professional services
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business administrations (or a related field)
- Deep knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proven experience in financial statement preparation, variance analysis, KPI development, and process improvement
- Demonstrated track record of successful financial leadership and strategic decision-making
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage teams, communicate effectively, and collaborate across various business functions
- Proficiency with modern business systems (e.g., NetSuite, UKG) as well as advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Discipline of planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific goals and objectives
What Will Set You Apart
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) license
- Hands-on professional Kantata experience
- Experience with NetSuite and UKG
