Connor Group is hiring remote professionals for this position, with the obligation to work onsite at a client location when required. Additionally, professionals may utilize our offices across the U.S. if one is available in your area and your personal situation warrants it.

Connor Group is a specialized professional services firm of Big 4 alumni and industry executives. Our team of highly experienced professionals assists financial executives with their most complex business needs, including Accounting Advisory, Financial Operations, IPO, M&A, and Managed Services.
Responsibilities:
- Perform financial and accounting due diligence procedures for buy-side or sell-side due diligence engagements
- Identifying and communicating (i) critical deal issues, (ii) the strength and weakness of the business against industry benchmarks to client management that could impact the purchase price or the deal structure
- Challenging assumptions related to future financial projections
- Identifying critical post-closing matters to be addressed to ensure improvements in profitability and cash flows
- Interacting extensively with personnel of the target companies and the client
- Reviewing and preparing due diligence reports outlining analyses and findings
- Assist with the finalization of (i) opening balance sheet/ of purchase price allocations, and (ii) closing working capital calculations.
- Comfortable with advanced Excel functionalities: building flatfiles, pivot tables, macros, and using advanced formulas such as SUMIFS, INDEX/MATCH, INDIRECT
Desired Skills & Experience:
- GPA of 3.5 or better
- Rated top 25% of Big Four class
- 2-5 years of prior experience in public accounting.
- Experience with a Big 4 or large firm’s transaction advisory services a plus.
- CPA preferred or actively pursuing completion of certification
- Ability to take responsibility and account for his/her own work
- Hard-working, detail-oriented and ability to work independently
- Ability to work well in a team atmosphere
- Professional and personable demeanor
- Proven solid verbal and written communication skills
- Passion for helping clients with a strong interest in technical accounting
- Experience with advanced data applications like Power Query and/or Alteryx
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent required
- Some travel (about 25%)
