Finance Manager

We are seeking a Finance Manager who will partner across Finance, HR, and Sales to evolve, and maintain Contrast’s incentive compensation plan. Your primary daily responsibilities would include tracking sales orders, understanding how the compensation plan will be applied, and ensuring all commissions are calculated accurately and paid timely. Additionally, you will be responsible for evolving and maintaining KPI’s related to bookings. The leadership team will look to you to provide regular reporting on sales performance and KPIs as well as guidance for adjustments to variable compensation, and ensuring alignment of sales activities to business goals.


    • Partner across Finance, HR, and Sales to evolve, and maintain Company’s incentive compensation plan along with individual goal plans
    • Perform monthly global sales commissions calculations earned and/or payable
    • Prepare commission reconciliations and accruals; support month end close process by booking related journal entries
    • Ensure commission payments are submitted to payroll in a timely manner and commission statements are provided to quota carriers
    • Lead scenario modeling to support financial planning of variable compensation, tracking variances to plan, and recommending adjustments
    • Lead efforts to improve sales commission processes; including systems evaluations, implementations, review and approval workflows
    • Maintain a customer service approach in researching commission questions and analyzing discrepancies
    • Other ad-hoc reporting and projects needed by the finance team


    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
    • 3+ years’ experience with sales commission processing, calculations & scenario modeling
    • Strong analytical skills, problem solver, and appreciation for consistency & accuracy
    • An exceptional level of attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Experience with commission/sales performance software required
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to communicate complex scenarios and topics to team and supervisors in a clear, logical manner
    • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft office applications
    • Ability to work independently and to solve problems with minimal supervision
    • Self-starter that adapts well to change in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace
    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment; comfortable dealing with people at all levels of the organization
