 About the Position

Contrast Professional Services is on a mission to secure modern software applications. We work closely with security and development teams worldwide, applying our expertise to the Contrast Application Security Platform to secure the complete software development life cycle.

Our team is searching for an Engagement Manager who is a catalyst for action and helps our Customers achieve roaring success with the Contrast platform. This role requires equal parts technical strength, precision execution, and the ability to forge the relationships needed to drive projects to success. The ideal candidate is an irresistible force who believes forward progress is always better than standing still and has a demonstrable history of making results happen.

You’ll play a critical role during significant company and team growth. As an Engagement Manager, you’ll be responsible for a portfolio of customer accounts and have a clear understanding of what deployment success means, tactically in the short term and strategically in the long term.

During your first month, you’ll dive into the Contrast platform and learn an exciting technology that improves how software development teams secure their code. By the second month, you’ll be customer-facing, engaging with a diverse range of customers from Fortune 100 to technology leaders and ISVs, and learning about the common customer initiatives that resulted in their investment in the Contrast platform.

You’ll hit full stride by the fourth month, combining your technical expertise and superior communication skills to guide multiple concurrent implementation projects to success, solving complex organizational and technical challenges along the way.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to demonstrate all the hallmarks of a great project manager, including leadership, communication, and team-building skills. You’ll also need to master the consultative relationship, setting expectations, providing guidance, and staying ahead of industry trends so that your advice is on point. Finally, you’ll need to excel at building or improving existing processes, as driving consistency, efficiency, and excellence in our organization will be one of your mandates.

    • Coach team members to create urgency and have a bias for action
    • Learn the Customer’s business objectives, culture, and people; synthesize and make strategic recommendations to achieve expected business outcomes
    • Serve as a trusted advisor providing actionable insights on achieving application security program goals
    • Partner closely with Sales and Customer Success to educate customers on Contrast platform capabilities and identify opportunities for account growth
    • Build and improve internal processes for consistency, efficiency, and predictable, high-value outcomes

Qualifications

    • At least five years experience working in a customer-facing, high-volume role, preferably for a professional services or consulting organization
    • At least three years in a cutting-edge technology company, preferably security-related
    • History of successful projects that required strategic thinking, project planning, time management, problem-solving, task delegation, and prioritization
    • Leadership roles in projects that required collaboration between multiple teams, both internal and client-facing
    • Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to present complex, technical concepts and data in a structured and well-ordered way
    • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher: preference for computer science and mathematics degrees
