Conversant Group is an IT infrastructure and security consulting company founded in 2009 and based in Chattanooga, TN. We are the world’s first Civilian Cybersecurity Force, dedicated to defeating cyber terrorists. To do so, Conversant Group is organized into three battalions: Athena7 which provides infrastructure assessment, strategy and remediation, Grypho5 which offers ongoing managed protection, and Fenix24 which provides rapid restoration in case of a cyberattack.
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing complex projects that deliver superior service for our clients. Ideal candidates should also have great technical skills to better understand the intricate requirements of the projects they are managing. This position requires excellent written and verbal skills to provide detailed and responsive communications with employees and clients via email, phone calls and video conferencing tools.
Responsibilities
- Effectively lead cross-functional teams to successfully deliver solutions and technology initiatives.
- Measure and report on project financials and budget versus actuals.
- Coordinate resources to accomplish project goals and deliverables.
- Independently manage the full project life cycle, from initiation to launch, crafting of requirements and specifications, defining project scope and schedule, obtaining approvals, managing tasks, allocating resources, preparing contingency plans, and troubleshooting.
- Incorporate project management best practices into templates, standards, and processes.
- Regularly interface with senior stakeholders and business leads across the organization.
- Collaborate with other members of the implementation team to set and maintain project methodologies.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements and best practices.
- Collects and report status updates for tasks.
- Manages the coordination of the stakeholders and the working groups.
- Monitors and evaluates contract deliverables.
- Communicates and delegates tasks and deliverables
- Understands and communicates Technical Requirements and Business Needs

- Ability to multi-task and keep on task and follow through on assignments to their successful completion.
- Professional presentation and demeanor are always required.
- Working evenings and weekends required on an as-needed basis
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required.
- 6+ years of equivalent experience in an IT Program Management Organization.
- In-depth knowledge of Project Management Office operations and processes.
- Experience working within a technology Security Environment.
- Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills, including strong teambuilding skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational abilities.
