Copia Automation is looking for a Sales Development Representative to join our growing team!

Who you are:

As an SDR at Copia, you’ll be on the front line of growing our pipeline. You will own the critical top-of-funnel efforts: identifying, engaging, qualifying leads, and scheduling meaningful meetings for our Account Executives. You’ll partner closely with marketing, product, and sales to refine messaging and feedback loops. Success in this role means helping Copia scale while learning deeply about industrial automation, DevOps, and software sales.

We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic and a proven track record of success. Heavy cold calling on a daily basis is a large part of this role. To be successful, applicants need to have a confident vocal presence and the ability to think on their feet when speaking to prospects. What you'll do:

    • Identify potential customers and generate new business opportunities for the company
    • Contact and qualify potential customers
    • Set meetings for your Sales Director/Account Executive and follow up on leads
    • Track progress towards meeting sales goals
    • Collaborate with the sales team and the Director of Sales to develop strategies for reaching sales targetsUse customer relationship management (CRM) software to manage leads and sales activities
    • Stay up-to-date on market trends, competition, and industry developments
    • Provide regular reports on sales activities and results to management

What you'll need:

    • Sales, SDR / BDR, customer support, marketing or similar experience is preferred but not required
    • Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) software
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with potential clients
    • Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies
    • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
    • Time management and organizational skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Flexibility and adaptability to change
    • A desire to learn and grow in the sales field
    • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience preferred

Nice to haves:

    • Experience selling SaaS or technology in industrial / manufacturing environment
    • Familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, or other sales engagement tools
    • Some exposure to DevOps, version control (Git), or software development life cycles
    • Understanding of manufacturing / operations / control systems (PLC, SCADA, etc.)
    • Ability to speak to technical audiences and translate value to business outcomes
$65,000 - $85,000 a year
